Just a week after its painful loss in the Copa America, South American powerhouse, Argentina was able to scrape together some self-respect after winning the under-20 World Cup on Sunday. The collective sigh of a nation could be heard but the Argentinean faithful erupted in wild applause and celebration as their junior team hoisted the trophy in Canada. It was the second straight Junior World Cup victory for Argentina and the terrific display will help ensure that this seemingly endless pipeline of talent will help the senior team remain competitive for a while longer.
